Information for Seniors

Senior housing is available in Kipling through the Kipling Housing Authority which has a variety of different housing options. For more information contact the Manager Brenda Lynn Pusch on (306) 736 8468.

Activities and a weekly fitness programme can be found at the Kipling Friendship Centre, 500 1st Street.

For Winter activities there is the Curling Club (306) 736 8157 or senior hockey at the rink, and Aquafit at the Swimming Pool in the Summer.

Organizations to join are the Kipling & District Lions Club, Kipling Branch Royal Canadian Legion, Kipling & District Community Choir, the Winter Dance Club, or the Kipling & District Historical Society.

The Town runs a Handy Van for those who are mobility challenged, and or seniors on Wednesday’s and Friday’s. To book your ride call (306) 736 2515.

The Kipling Integrated Health Facility is a primary health care facility on the west side of Town. it was constructed in 2014 and has an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Mental Health nurse, Visiting Dietitian, Emergency Care, Laboratory and X-ray capabilities.  Additional services at Willowdale, 200 4th Street include Home Care, Public Health Nurse and a whirlpool bath.

Kipling has a Dental clinic, a Medical clinic with currently three doctors and a Nurse Practitioner, and an Optometrist who visits Kipling once every two weeks.
