| A paperclip's a small but useful thing |
| If...I had a paperclip I'd get my resume togeather.
If... I had a paperclip I'd post a note reminding me of Canada's robotic arms orbiting the Earth.Confused?go search the net
for Canadarm1&2.
If... I had a paperclip I'd post a pic of a maple leaf.
If... I was in Canada, who knows?(thanks, that line is from nickie's note)
If...I had a paperclip I'd use it in a flick,
called??? One Red Paperclip! |

| great to hear about you |
| Hello there,
Am signing this book after reading about you due to the paperclip. What a great story!I hope it brings you the interest in your town you are looking for!! If I was in Canada, who knows, I may visit, but as I am in the UK, I will send good wishes from Bedfordshire instead! Will also show this story to my class at Primary School for a great discussion today!
Regards

| Just saw your movie Rust on SCN here in Ontario and I was blown away. It's a wonderful story and points out that most of us are guilty about jumping to confusions. It's how we handle those confusions, the things that seem impossible that makes us what we are.
My great-grandmother, Georgina Cameron, a widow, homesteaded two farms near Lloydminster without a husband to help. She would tackle anything that life threw at her.
I can see that the pioneer spirit, the one that wrestles the impossible, still is alive in Kipling.

| So glad we came to Kipling! |
| My daughter and I were invited by my Great Aunt Louise Szakacs to come and revisit Kipling. I had not been there in 34 years. A lot has changed, but one thing that remains the same is the nice people and the welcoming atmosphere. I was so glad to have made the trip for the 100th anniversary celebration. It was very fun and entertaining. A big thank you to all the volunteers who made it such a success! I know my next visit will be sooner! |

| 100th Centennial Celebrations |
| What a great weekend, congratulations to one and all that planned, and made the weekend a huge success. I moved to Kipling in 1950 with my mom and 2 sisters, and graduated from high school in 1957. It was great to see the progress in our little town, with all the new houses, recreation facilities, that have grown up since I left. Our house is # 5 is a heritage house where we moved to in May of 1950 - just beside the Balfour home on main street, it is a beauty with the additions they have made to it. I would never have recognized it! Although there we not many people from my era, I enjoyed! Good parade and dinner as well.
The lunch was very much appreciated! The tea was also a great success and the goodies/dainties were marvelous - many people got to connect there!
My G'ma Ransom's house is across from the hospital, and I can't believe the 2 Colorado Blue spruce trees she planted are so huge!
Again Congratulations to all the organizers of this wonderful event - now you need another history book to add to the 75th that is such a good book!

| Family |
| I am very familar with your great little town. My grew up their before going into the army as with many men back then. My uncles George and Bennie still resided with their families and I had the opportunity of getting back to visist with my Mom a couple of years ago. It is still the great little town that I remembered when I was growing up as we would come and visit during summer holidays. We would visit my Uncle Bennie's farm and share adventures and learn what it was like on a farm. Today June 1, 2009 is a sad day as my Uncle Bennie passed away. He fought a hard battle and was determined to win but god took him and now he can spend time with his family already passed including my dad. He was a hardworking, highly respected and family orientated man. He will be sadly missed by my Mom and I as well by still many long time residences. He was indeed a fixture to this little place as was the Balogh name. If you have the chance to ever visit, you must it is a little place out of a book filled with beauty and great people with much history. Talk to some of the older people to hear their stories.
Enjoy, all the best

| Origin of place name |
| Hi! I came across your web site by chance and I could not resist having a look. So how come your town is called Kipling? It is not a common name/surname/place name in UK, or anywhere else in the world. The author Rudyard Kipling is well-known. But Mr Kipling's Cakes and the Kipling bags are relatively recent advertising brand names, nothing to do with real people or places. Hope some one will satisfiy my curiousity. Good look with the anniversity celebrations. Hilary |

| Thank You |
| I would like to thank the citizens of Kipling that helped me in my time of need after the death of my Brother, Tom Swindells. Tom and I were born in Corning but left at a young age to live in Regina. Tom returned with our Mom to live in Kipling in 1990. After Tom's death, I spent a week in Kipling to clean out his house and arrange for his funeral. In that week I met and became reaquanted with many of the wonderful people of Kipling.
Thanks again,

| I miss ' em |
| I met a part of my family for the first time a few years ago, in Kipling Saskatchwan. Aunt Trudy and Uncle Gene. I just finished watching the movie 'sweet home alabama', and eventhough where I live, back in the Netherlands, its already 2 at night, I got my butt on the computer and wrote this message. I wanted to let them know that I miss them even though we may not know each other as well as I would like.

| When I was in my teens we Kipling's had to check out the town named after our surname. Who knows, maybe we have relatives somewhere in the generation line who live there?
