Yoga For Teens is offered to all students ages 12-18 years FREE of charge on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15-12:45 p.m. (noon) at the Kipling Community Centre.
Instructor: Brittany Smith, Certified Yoga Instructor
Participants should wear comfortable clothing, bring a water bottle and yoga mat (some mats will be provided).
Funding for Yoga For Teens has been achieved from the Community Initiatives Fund, Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport. Yoga For Teens is part of Fitness For All, an initiative of Kipling Parks & Recreation.
The After Party is Kipling Parks & Recreation's newest addition to Active After School Programming. The program runs on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m., beginning February 1st, featuring games and activities for children ages 6-12 years.
The After Party will be led by trained Program Leaders. There is no cost to participate - parents are encouraged to pre-register their children with Susan at the Rec Office 736-8440. Children must bring running shoes, a water bottle and snack (if so desired).
The After Party is made possible by financial contributions from Southeast Connection Sport, Culture and Recreation District.
FitKids is a physical activity program for children and youth, ages 4-12 years. Games and activities are led by trained Program Leaders on Mondays and Thursdays, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Kipling Community Centre. Children will be grouped in the following ages: 4-6 years, and 7-12 years.
FitKids is offered FREE of charge; however, please call Susan at the Rec Office 736-8440 to pre-register your child. Children must bring running shoes and a water bottle.
FitKids begins on Thursday, February 2, 2012, and will run to the end of May.

On Wednesday, February 29th, the Kipling School will be hosting its Annual Science and Heritage Fair. Students from Grades 4 to 9 will be participating in this event, with the winners moving on to the regional level. Set up and judging will take place in the morning, but the fair is open to parents and communiy members from 12:00-2:00pm on that day. Please come out and view the great student work.
Figure Skating Ice Show will be held at 7:30pm at the Kipling Arena on Saturday, March 3.
Come to the Kipling Rec Centre on Saturday, March 17 for some good clean fun for everyone. Cocktails 5:30pm-6:30pm, supper 6:30pm, show at 8:00pm. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be available soon at Mann's Foods, Paperclip Cottage, Roluf's Esso, and Windthorst Fine Foods, or call Carla Meszaros at 736-2914. Come and support the youngest members of our communities and have a chance at winning the pot of gold!
The Kipling Good Friday service will be held at the Kipling United Church, April 6th, at 11am. Pastor Murray Halvorson will be speaking.
