  COMMUNITY HALL BOOKINGS

Kipling Community Center is managed from the Town office. If your group or family would like to use the hall for an event please call 1-306-736-2515. The community Center can be used for many events ranging from weddings, funerals, to meetings. The capacity of the hall is 350. To view a price list click here.

 UTILITY ACCOUNTS

The Town of Kipling manages the Water & Sewer Utility inside the Town limits. In order to have your water & sewer services hooked up or disconnected, please call Christina at the Town office 736-2515.

A renter deposit of $132.00 is required before a utility account can be activated. If you are a property owner a $50.00 water meter deposit is required to set up an account. These deposits are refundable when you move.

Sewage Treatment Fee - $12.50

9,001-100,000 gal-$7.70 per 1000 gallons

Over 100,000 gal - $5.50 per 1000 gallons

WASTE MANAGEMENT

 The Town of Kipling's garbage collection and waste disposal is handled by LORAAS Disposal of which the Town of Kipling is a member. You may set your garbage outside for pick up or take it out to the Landfill site. Garbage pickup is every Thursday, each bin must be set in front of your property. If your garbage is missed, please put it away until the following week.

COMPOST SITE 

Located just past the Cemetery South of Town on the 605 Grid. The compost Site is open from approximately May 1st until the first heavy snowfall

Please compost wisely, do not take weeds, plastic bags, or cardboard to the site. This site is for branches, leaves, grass, garden refuse etc.

RECYCLING BINS (BLUE BINS)

LORAAS Disposal provides the recycling program for the Town of Kipling. The bins are located at our compost site just south of Town of the 605 Grid. These bins provide a place to recycle cardboard, newspaper, plastic, paper and tin only. The bins are unlocked as follows:

Monday, Wednesday & Saturday 9:00 am to 11:00 am

For all other recycling needs please visit our local Sarcan Recycling Depot west of town on Highway 48 (736-8461 for information)          
 You can also call Red Coat Waste Authority 736-8494 with any questions or concerns you may have.
 HANDY VAN

The Kipling & District Handy Van operates Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm unless a statutory holiday falls on one of those days. The fee for using the bus is $2.00 for a return trip. Punch passes are available for $28.00 and is good for 14 rides (these make great gifts) If you would like to book a ride on the handy van call 736-8399. If you would like to be one of our volunteer drivers come to the Kipling Economic Development Office for more information.

FIRE DEPARTMENT 

The Fire Department's meetings are the 1st Tuesday of every month. During the summer months they have a fire practice every 3rd Tuesday of the month. The Fire Department would like you to check your smoke detector during "Fire Preventiion Week" below is a list of when "Fire Prevention Week" is.

The Fire Department got a new fire truck in October 2011.

CEMETERY

The Town Cemetery is open every day. Visitors are always welcome.

Directions: Go 1/2 mile south on the 605 Grid; the cemetery is located on the west side of the road

Fees and Charges: Single Plot (4x8) $125.00+GST    Double Plot (8x8) $250.00+GST

KIPLING & DISTRICT AIRPORT

Welcome to the Kipling Airport!
Kipling Airport is located .25 km east of the Town of Kipling. The Runway is an asphalt runway 75 feet wide and 3000 feet long; lit with Arcal lighting on frequency 123.2.
The Airport maintained regularly, however it is best to call ahead to ensure runway conditions are acceptable.  There is a small pilot hut on site; however you will need to stroll into Town for lunch.

QUARTERLY WATER AND SEWER SERVICE RATES

The combined quarterly water and sewer services rates shall be calculated on the amount of water used:

Minimum Charge

Up to 10,000 gallons   $145.50 per quarter
2013-Up to 10,000 gallons  $159.00 per quarter
2014-Up to 10,000 gallons  $174.00 per quarter

10,001-100,000 gallons  $7.70 per 1,000 gallons or part thereof

100,001 gallons or more  $5.50 per 1,000 gallons or part thereof

Infrastructure Rates

Sewer Infrastructure Fee  $60.00 per year
