Permits & Licenses
PET LICENSE
Your pets are welcome in the Town of Kipling! You are required to license them each year. Annual licenses are as follows: Spayed/neutered cat or dog $20, Unspayed/unneutered cat or dog $40, Maximum of 3 pets, Please be considerate of your neighbors-keep barking to a minimum.
BUSINESS LICENSE
A business license is required in the Town of Kipling if you are conducting business within the Town limits and not a commercial/industrial property owner. Please contact the Town Office for a license.
DEVELOPMENT/BUSINESS PERMITS
Before you build within Kipling, you must fill out a development application. Some projects will require a Building Permit. All development applications and permits may be picked up at the Town office.

Is a Building Permit Required?
Building permits are usually required for:
New building construction, garages and carports, decks, swimming pools and hot tubs, mobile homes, renovation, alternation and additions, demolition of an existing building, basement development, fireplaces, wood stoves and heaters, change of the use building, and temporary buildings.
Building permits are not usually required for:
Fences (no permit required, however, contact the Town for further information), Driveways and parking lots, painting, laying carpet, general maintenance, replacement using the same materials not affecting structural issues, accessory buildings not greater than 10m/2 (limit of one per property).
PLUMBING PERMITS
Sun Country Health Region conduct inspections on new plumbing and on-site sewage disposal system installations as required by The Saskatchewan Plumbing and Drainage Regulations. Permits are available at the Town office.
